Deborah Arlene Golden, 52, of Sodus went to her Lord on Saturday, Aug. 20, at her home with her husband, Steven, by her side.
Cremation has taken place and a service and celebration of life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church and school in St. Joseph at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Southwestern Michigan Humane Society, Save a Stray, or the Berrien County Animal Shelter.
Debby was born in Midland, on June 19, 1964, to David Dilloway and the late Arlene Dilloway. Debby was a graduate of Mayville High School. On Oct. 31, 1995, she married Steven Golden and soon after they moved to Sodus, which was an area they both loved, and had a great life together.
Debby was employed for many years at Tara Florist where she made a great many long-lasting friends. Debby always looked forward to her lunch dates with Randi, Vicki, and Debby. More recently she worked at Trinity Lutheran school as a hot lunch coordinator. Debby absolutely loved feeding the children and the interaction she had with them for over 15 years. She saw children go from daycare to entering college. She was a totally committed individual to her job and she just loved the kids.
Over the past year she was reunited with her daughter, Sary, which brought immense joy and comfort to her.
Debby loved gardening, decorating her home, tending to her animals, going to auctions with her husband and shopping. She absolutely loved to find the deals. She was also an excellent artist and loved to paint.
Debby touched many lives during her time here and will be missed by all that knew her.
Debby is survived by her husband, Steven; stepdaughter, Tracy (Patrick) Stewart; two grandkids, Douglas and Brice; a daughter, Saryanne Leu. of Madison, Wis.; her father, David (Juanita) Dilloway; brothers: David A. (Deborah) Dilloway of Livonia, Daniiel (Heike) Dilloway of Belton, Texas, and Joseph (Laura) Dilloway of Saginaw; and her aunt, Kathleen (David) Stahlhut of Godfrey, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Dilloway; grandparents, Paul and Ruth Dilloway; and her uncles, Paul Dilloway and John Dilloway.

Beautiful story of a beautiful person. My heart is broken that I didn’t find a way to be more involved with Debby throughout her life. Steven, you and your family have my deepest sympathy. God be with us all.
