Doinas “Mr. G” Ghidirmic

10 Condolences

Doinas “Mr. G” Ghidirmic, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home on September 26, 2020. He was 83 years young. Doinas was born in Romania to Suzanna Ghidirmic (of Canton, Ohio) and Mihail (of Romania). Doinas was a dedicated husband and father. He treasured his family and embraced every moment with them. He especially loved his role as a tennis coach. He had a bright smile, a vivacious personality and always saw the best in people. At 53 years of age, he sat aside his career as an attorney in Romania and emigrated to the United States of America with his family where he lived an exemplary life until the very end. Until his physical health made it impossible, he helped many students, young and old, learn how to play his beloved “sport for a lifetime”. Through tennis, he sought to instill in his students strong values and work ethic in order to serve them well throughout their lives. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. May your rest be peaceful and may we meet again on a tennis court next to a river where we can go fishing and swimming after we play.

Doinas is survived by his loving wife, Antonina, his daughter (Cristina), his son (Ini), his grandchildren (Bjorn, Soren and Shea), as well as his brother (Florin).

I worked with Dash at Little Caesars in Ann Arbor back just before you moved to CA., I just found the post card he sent and so I googled him to find he passed. I am sorry for your loss. Dash was such a nice man, and we enjoyed the fish he had cooked for us and the stories he told us.

God Bless you and your family.
