Our family lived very close when I was growing up(all next door neighbors on one farm) this made “Uncle George” more like another dad to me. I’m the man I am today because of George. I have so many memories of him in my life that without writing a book it’s hard decide on one to tell. This is both my favorite memory of him and my wedding. In 2009 my wife and I had our wedding at the family farm (for context my grandmother and grandfather had died a few years apart and had lived on the property as had my aunt Nancy some years prior, also my neighbor), George came to me after the ceremony and congratulated me, and with slight mist in his eyes thanked me for having such a joyful event there as we needed it after all the loss. That wedding was perfect, George and the family landscaped three yards, countless flower beds, hours on the tractor, all to make my wife and I’s day perfect, and he did! We still look back on that day like a dream , and he thanked me for bringing that to the farm! Such an amazing, humble man. He always made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, thank you Uncle George, Shonda and I love and miss you

Dear Judith and Family, I just now learned of George’s untimely passing and I am deeply saddened by it. I lived next to George (2 houses away) when I was growing up in St. Joe. I had a lot of fun playing with George and knew the family well. I tried to connect over the years but had trouble locating him. I have many, many fond memories of George and the entire Loeffler family. George was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever known not to mention a fantastic athlete in High School. I know he can never be replaced but his memories will continue to lift my spirit as I pass through life. George was the best of the best! Please accept my condolences in your loss of this fine husband, father and Christian. God Rest His Soul in Glory!
