James (Jim) D. Aldrich 65, passed away peacefully at home on February 25th, 2022.
Jim was born on April 1st 1956 to the parents of Jerald Aldrich and Dorothy (Bishop) Aldrich in Benton Harbor, MI. Jim would later meet the love of his life, Sharon (Quertermous) Aldrich and they would marry in 1974 taking primary residence in Watervliet, MI. They raised two children together.
Jim was employed by Gast Manufacturing for the majority of his working years, for over 20+ years. He enjoyed coaching all of his daughter’s and son’s youth sports when they were little. Later in life, Jim loved riding his motorcycle with his wife, Sharon, on the back and his friends by his side. Jim enjoyed family BBQ’s and get togethers, especially if beanbags were involved; he was very competitive. Jim was also one of the funniest people to be around and had a knack for making jokes at anyone’s expense. His greatest passion though was his family, especially his wife of nearly 48 years. He was a lover of all animals, but especially of his beloved beagles, Sandy (still living) and Maggie (preceded him in death).
Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon and their two children; daughter Melissa (Raymond) Pritchett and son Mark (Trisha) Aldrich. One brother, Aaron Aldrich. He had four grandsons; Tyler Jackson, Jordan Pitre, Austin Pritchett, and Jakob Aldrich. Three granddaughters; Taylor Jackson, Jaelyn Pitre and Alyssa Pritchett. He had five great grandchildren; Asher, Holden, Myles, Carson and Stella.
Jim was preceded in death by both his parents; Jerald and Dorothy Aldrich. Two sisters; Phyliss Jones and Cheryl Aldrich. One brother, Andy Aldrich and his father-in-law, Willard Quertermous.
Per Jim’s wishes a cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to Sharon .Mark , Melissa and family.
Don’t know how many would remember but Jim also loved music. Years ago we used to call him wjim.
I think Sharon started that.
We used to have fun playing cards, blaring music. He and I used to sing “Last Kiss”.
He had a lot better voice than I did.
We had some really good times that I will always remember.
RIP Jim
Sharon and the kids if you need anything please let me know.
Love you all.
