Jane Daisy, 80, of Coloma, MI, passed away at the Hanson Hospice Care center on Tuesday September 29, 2020. Jane is survived by husband Ron, son and daughter-in-law Mark Carlock & Penny Camp of Sodus Township, son Dave Carlock of Benton Township, and sister Margaret Hilbink and brother-in-law Dave of St, Joseph. She is preceded in death by her brother Leroy Hadley.
Jane was born on August 22, 1940 in Benton Township, daughter of the late Clarence and Cloteal Hadley. Local friends may have met her through her work with Whirlpool, New Products, or Shepherd Casters while married to the late Nelson Carlock.
In 1976, Jane was remarried to WHFB’s morning show host Frank Roberts (Prater) and relocated to his family’s hometown of Grayson, KY where she lived happily for 30 years until his passing, working as a tri-county supervisor and addictions therapist for the State of KY, while also serving her community as the mayor’s wife.
After a longtime friend played matchmaker, Jane fell in love with her husband Ron, which drew her back to enjoy her last 14 years with him in Berrien County where she assisted him with his business and loved his companionship, be it on sunny motorcycle rides or simply watching Big Bang Theory at home.
Her loving grandchildren include Jamie Carlock and wife Dawn of Newton, IA; Sara Koon and husband Matt of Gulf Shores, AL; Sean Carlock and wife Erica of Little Rock, AR; and MacKenzie Carlock of Chicago, IL. Great-grandchildren include Alyssa, Ella, and Theodore Carlock, and Brayden, Kambell, & Josiah Koon.
A Celebration of Life will be held in 2021. Anyone wishing to make a memorial gift in Jane’s name may do so to the following organizations: the Lewy Body Dementia Research Center at Stanford University, Caring Circle in St. Joseph, or Pennies From Heaven in Berrien County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Purely Cremations. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at purelycremations.org.
Offer Condolence for the family of Jane Marie (Hadley) Daisy

Jeannine Marks
Dear Ron, please accept my sincere condolences for you and your family and for Mark and David and their families as well. I was truly heartbroken when I saw that she had died. Many times this summer I thought of Jane and meant to get in touch but life happens. We were the best of friends for many many years and she was Godmother to my eldest son. She cared more about others than herself. She was kind and patient. Beautiful inside and out. I hope the last 14 years were worth the mad dash trip to Kentucky to meet her. (And sweep her off her feet I might add!) So so sorry for your loss.
Mark Carlock

Sincerest condolences to Ron, Mark and David I know what a terrible loss to loss you wife and mother. Jane and I had been friends since 7th grade and shared so many things and times and events and life. I will miss her little laugh and caring and always positive thinking, She was such a gentle and kind soul. Feel terrible I was not there to comfort her in the last 3 years. She was special and I know how much she loved her sons. Ron was such a god send and a bright spot in her life. Thank you for everything all of you did to love her till the very end. I feel I have lost my best friend and confident and I have. Rest in peace my precious dear friend.
