Jonathan David Mosby, 89, of Bridgman, MI passed away August 23, 2020 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sigfrid and Amanda (Holty) Mosby; his siblings, Gordon and Benjamin; his wife, Joyce (Paterson), his daughter, Karen, and his son, Kevin.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (DeHabey), his children, David (Bonnie), Beverly (Michael) Addona, Scott (Dawn), and his step-children, Michael Langston and Lori (Terry) Fulbright, as well as, 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jon had a full and adventurous life. He was born in Venezuela in 1931 to missionary parents. As a young man he worked as a bricklayer in Chicago. He eventually became a general contractor, which led to becoming a church builder. He built churches from Pennsylvania to California. He was a member of the Gideons, was on the boards of TEAM Missions and the National Association of Evangelicals, and worked for Bryan College.
There will be an outdoor visitation on Sunday, September 6th, 2020, from 1pm to 5pm at the family’s home: 3945 Popalardo Street, Bridgman, MI 49106. If there is inclement weather, we will move into the house and will respectfully ask that masks be worn.
