June Alberta (Emery) Huff

19 Condolences

Some people have a heart that allows them to be a natural caregiver. Some people have a heart that is so selfless that they spend their life taking care of others.  Some people have a heart that makes others want to be around them.  Some people have a heart of gold.  This was June Emery Huff.

June Emery Huff (90) of Watervliet passed away peacefully at her home on September 30, 2020.
June was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Howard and Gladys Emery on July 18, 1930. She moved to Benton Harbor and graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1948.  She married Lee Huff on January 12, 1952. When you think of the word mother, you think of love, joy, selflessness and patience.  She was all of this to their four children: Wanda Huff, Michael Huff, Donna Huff Unruh and Sandy Huff.

She loved spending time with family and friends.  She spent many years taking camping and motorcycle trips and spent many summers at Thunder Lake.  She was a wonderful cook and you could count on getting a  care package sent home with you.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Lee,  in 2007, her parents and three brothers and three sisters.
June is survived by her four children, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and her two sisters, Judy Moore and Marilyn Cates.

Simply said, she will be missed.

We will all miss my cousin June. She was the storyteller of the family and could relate stories about all the family with extreme detail. I heard stories about my mother that I had not heard before just a year or so ago. June was sixteen years older than I was so she was more like an aunt than she was a cousin. She will truly be missed. We love you June!
