Maria Bruna Zampi Rasia Dal Polo, 89, of Galien, MI passed away June 17, 2020 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph, MI. She was born on February 19, 1931, the daughter of Romano and Angela Zampi of Castegnero, Vicenza, Italy. She married Sante Rasia Dal Polo on July 17, 1954, and shortly after immigrated to the United States. Together they had three sons Giacinto Romano, Roberto Alfreddo, and Orlando Santo Dal Polo. Maria was a beloved wife, loving mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished God and loved her family. She loved to cook, pray, garden, and raise farm animals. The greatest memories of Maria were her contagious smile, genuine laugh, beautiful accent, and fondness of Elvis and Neil Diamond. She never knew a stranger and welcomed everyone she met with open arms. Maria was a living history book full of stories of how our famiglia immigrated from Italy to America. She never let us forget the struggle our ancestors went through as they strived for the opportunities we enjoy today.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Sante; sister, Elda Zampi and brothers Dino and Bruno Zampi. Surviving is her brother, Nadio Zampi; three sons, Romano (Gail) Dal Polo, Roberto (Nancy C.) Dal Polo, Orlando (Jennifer) Dal Polo; grandchildren, Elisabeth (Jeremy) Parker, Devin Dal Polo, Matthew Dal Polo, Amanda (Tyler) Dal Polo, Alexander (Britt) Dal Polo, Nathan Dal Polo, Joshua Dal Polo, Kayce Sherman, Mary Rose (Marcus) Dal Polo, Kelsey (Mike) Dal Polo, Gabrielle Dal Polo and Debra Drum; great-grandchildren; Taliana, Chloe, Nicolas, and Lucas Parker, Magnolia Dal Polo, Stella Dal Polo, Angel Irizarry, Juliana Dal Polo and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews abroad.
