Mary was that special, unique and ‘cool’ person to know. I admired her for her faith, love, kindness and feel blessed I got to know her, even it was only such short time; loved talking with her and miss that! My heart and prayers go out to you Bill and family. What a treasure lost.
I will be sure to plant a tree in her honor also in my back yard (I love trees and nature, too, even though Mary would laugh, I can’t name just about any of them).
Our Pepsi of Benton Harbor family has lost one of its most cherished members. Mary Beth Stanley had such a brave and inspiring battle these last 2 years. I had the good fortune to visit her a few weeks ago, the day before she was released from the hospital. She was at peace. She had her faith, she had the love of her husband Bill and her family. She had things arranged and “buttoned up”. Typical MBS, her business was in order and she had backup ready. She feared no audit.
Mary also had travel plans – Vegas was visited in late January and only 2 pictures were shared in her email. We know there were more and we know they stayed where they belonged. In February, she and Bill secured an awesome cabin in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee (pictures were furnished) and had another great getaway. We should all take joy in the fact that she enjoyed her life to the fullest.
Mary enjoyed her Pepsi life so much as well. She truly took us all into her heart and cared and served at such a high level. Her eccentricities charmed us and her passion for excellence made us better. Mary Beth Stanley was truly, True Blue!
Bill Stanley posted a message on Facebook asking that, instead of flowers, people should plant trees in memory of Mary. So as soon as the spring thaw allows, the Pepsi Benton Harbor facility will have a substantial hole dug in our front yard. A substantial tree in her honor will require it.
Warmest regards and memories,

Bill,
Thank you for sending.
Mary will always be an important part of my heart; I will miss her dearly. Her strength and kindness will carry many of us forward.
What an honor and privilege to know her.
