Sandra Elaine Havener, 78, of Niles, Michigan passed away with her husband and daughters by her side on Sunday, April 24th 2022, at West Woods in Niles, after an extended illness.
Sandra, best known as Sandi or Sam, was born into this world to the late Robert and Marilyn Ewing on October 8th 1943, in South Bend, Indiana.
Sandra was a member of Pokagon United Methodist Church and a member of The United Methodist Women, where she served as a devotional Leader. As a seamstress, she sewed dresses for orphanages in Haiti and also walker caddies for nursing homes and Senior Citizen Center.
She was a big fan of Nascar racing and loved Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed going to garage sales and was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Most of all, Sandi loved her family. Nothing made her happier than seeing everyone together. Her family was everything to her, so much that she made a special quilt for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sandra leaves behind her husband of 26 years, Frank Havener of Niles MI. Three beautiful daughters, Angela (Charlie) Mather of Niles MI, Valerie (Jason) Kaser of Walkerton IN, Cheryl (Steven) Teeter of Niles MI. A brother, Robert Ewing of Niles MI, two sisters, Janet (Walter) Pavlick, Vici (Jim) Shepard of Ruskin FL. Four grandchildren, Chad Teeter of Niles MI, Westley Teeter of Niles MI, Joshua (Dani) Teeter of Niles MI and Trisha (Joshua) Carter of Niles MI and three great grandchildren, Bradley Teeter, Gunner Teeter and Lincoln Teeter.
Sandra’s family will be having a private gravesite service at the time of burial.
