Terri Ockerman, 69, went to be with our Lord on Apr.18, 2021. She passed away at her home in Hartford, Mi. surrounded by her children and family. At her request, there will not be a traditional funeral service, rather a ‘picnic in the park’ to celebrate her life.
For anyone who knew Terri, spent time with, or just ran into her, family, friends or acquaintances she always showed them friendship, love, and compassion. She had the biggest heart and love for all people.
Terri was born July 12, 1951, grew up in Hartford, Mi. She started her family young as a single mom. Although she worked in several occupations her best job was homemaker. She moved and raised her children in St.Joseph ,Mi, where she worked, continued her education at Jorden College, received her Assoc. degree, and was on Dean’s list.
Terri “Lived to Give” we say. She enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions, Goodwill stores, and shopping to find those rare or unusual gifts she knew fit a particular person. No one cared for others more than she.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Teeters of Hartford, Mi.,sisters Jackie Dutton of Kalamazoo,Mi., Rhonda Beuter of Baldwin, Mi., brothers David Roberts of Baldwin, Mi., Khelun & Shannon Roberts of Hartford, Mi., step-mother Joyce Roberts of Hartford, Mi., her Son Derrick Cuchinski of Coloma, Mi., Daughters Stacy Bourlier of Watervliet, Mi., and Tammy Bradshaw of Hartford, Mi., and her “main man” for last 14yrs Gary Reichel of SisterLakes. She has 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grand children.
The family will hold a memorial to celebrate her life on Saturday May 8,2021 at 2927 Niles Rd., Riverview Park Woodbine bldg. In St. Joseph, Mi.
