William Burton Farley Jr., 76, of Bangor, MI, passed away, Sunday, December 31, 2017, at his residence. Arrangements entrusted to Purely Cremations – Starks Family Funeral Homes 269-926-9440. Per William’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held July 14th, 2018, at his sister’s home for family and friends. Meat will be provided. William was born on July 12, 1941, in Paw Paw Township, MI to William Burton, Sr. and Hallie H. (Kiner) Farley. He married Margaret Ellen (Austin) Farley on July 26, 1996, in South Haven, MI. William worked in the stringing dept. at Everett Piano Co., later becoming supervisor. Next, he molded pistons at Bohn Aluminum, then in Plant 18, machining pistons. Lastly, William was employed by WH Porter in the sheet metal dept. becoming supervisor. During his lifetime, he restored several cars and trucks including: a 1936 Graham, 1962 Chevy Pick-up Truck and a 1965 Riviera. Earlier in his life, he enjoyed raising and competing quarter horses. In his spare time, William liked watching professional football and MMA Wrestling, and reading westerns authored by Louis L’amour. His favorite times were spent with his loving family and friends.
William is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Karrie Farley; sons, Allen (Jennifer) Farley and Aaron Austin; sisters, Wilma (Daniel) Tackett, Helen (Louis) Williams, Beatrice (Virgil) Carpenter, Mary Farley and Terry Wendling and honorary grandson, Chaston Pasley.
